Timothy Oulton
Driven by a passion for traditional handcraftsmanship and a fearless quest for innovation, Timothy Oulton pushes the boundaries of furniture design, creating unique, authentically crafted pieces that exude the perfect balance of tradition and modernity. Every piece is meticulously handcrafted using time-honoured techniques – hand-carving, traditional joinery and hand-tufting. Pure materials are sourced from across the globe, from century-old timber reclaimed from English mills and distilleries to aniline leather hides from South America. Timothy Oulton’s unique signature leathers undergo several stages of complex hand-finishing to achieve their distinctive look and hand-feel.
The story of Timothy Oulton started back in 1976 with an antiques shop near Manchester in England, owned by Tim’s father, Major Philip Oulton. Tim inherited his father’s eye for beauty and detail. His innate ability to see artistic value and the essence of perfection in a product’s design became the starting point for everything new. Timeless, enduring collections span a wide range of styles from laid-back and rugged to refined and glamorous. Every piece is imbued with that sense of a story to be told – storied pieces, for a storied life.
