Milan Report Evening - Parnell Gallery
In mid May 2023 we hosted a select group of designers and guests to share the insights, highlights and emerging trends from the latest version of Salone del Mobile in Milan.
A delicious spread of charcuterie meats and handmade canapes from Michael Dearth of Baduzzi were enjoyed by attendees as well as barrel-aged batch made negronis from Bariletto.
The new Landmark and Timeout outdoor collections featuring new works by Van Duysen, his reinterpretation of Luca Meda’s 1994 Palinfrasca sofa and armchair, as well as outdoor versions of classics by Gio Ponti, Ron Gilad and Foster + Partners were launched by Molteni&C at Salone 23. Inspirational indoor pieces were also on display including the Mateo dining table in a gloss lacquer and the Cinnamon lounge chair designed by Naoto Fukasawa which gave the feeling of being wrapped in a soft embrace — or like you are floating in an inflatable ring with your arms drifting along the water surface.
The new Zen Suspension or Wall sconces, launched my VeniceM also at Salone interprets a design that is as essential as it is futuristic, giving shape to sophisticated discs of light. The smoky grey or bronze glass shades are available in three different sizes, allowing one to create dynamic compositions.
The BISSA Suspension lamp also from VeniceM, is characterized by an evocative burnished brass structure supported by adjustable steel cables. The light follows the movement of its sinuous curves, tracing a suspended luminous trail.
A great night was enjoyed by all and many thanks go out to our generous suppliers Pernod Ricard, Baduzzi, Barelitto, San Pellegrino and BabylonStore plants
